Ben Hanson Business Owner About MeAt the core of who I am, faith and family are at the center of everything I do. I'm a husband to an amazing wife, a proud dad of five, and someone who believes life is best lived with purpose and heart. My relationship with God and the time I spend with my family—both at home and at church—are what ground me and keep me moving forward. I've always loved building my business. It's more than just work to me—it's a passion. Seeing it grow over the years has been a rewarding journey, and I'm excited for where it's headed next. Outside of work, I'm adventurous and easygoing. I’ve got a “to do before I die” list that keeps life interesting—like skydiving, which was as thrilling as it sounds. I also enjoy golf, ping pong, and just making memories with the people I love. Whether I’m leading my team, chasing a new adventure, or simply spending time with my family, I strive to live with faith, joy, and intention.

Brian Hamaker E-Commerce Manager About MeI’m a husband and proud dad of five amazing kids. When I’m not spending time with my family, you’ll usually find me tinkering with electronics or setting up radio gear for a Parks on the Air adventure. I’ve worked in manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and higher education, where I learned the ins and outs of keeping large, complex systems running smoothly. I love being part of a team that values hard work, creativity, and helping people get the job done right. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new projects, learning how things work, and passing that curiosity on to my kids. 
Joe Weaver Shop manager About MeI genuinely enjoy coming to work each day at Amerirent, where I get to do what I love and be part of a team that’s hands-on with equipment and innovation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three daughters—family time is always a priority. I have a passion for Honda 3-wheelers and proudly consider myself an avid (and organized) junk collector. My happy place is my home shop, where I’m always tinkering, restoring, and learning. I love working with equipment, exploring new tools, and picking up old-school skills—whether it’s mastering a metal lathe, getting more out of a drill press, or figuring out new ways to use vintage gear. I’m constantly learning and always looking for ways to blend the old with the new. |
Katelyn Adkins Executive Assistant About MeAs an equipment rental and sales associate, I take pride in helping customers find the right tools and machinery to get the job done safely and efficiently. With a strong focus on service and a passion for problem solving, I strive to make each customer interaction smooth, informative, and productive. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our four energetic boys. Whether we're outdoors exploring or cheering them on from the sidelines, there's never a dull moment. My faith is a cornerstone of my life, guiding my values both personally and professionally.

Aaron Skinner Driver About MeI’m a guy who’s all about chasing Jesus and living with a heart full of love! My wife is my best friend, and I love her and our three awesome kids fiercely. I’m always striving to be a more godly husband and dad. By day, I’m a driver—cruising the open road with the Unashamed podcast or music blasting, soaking up wisdom and worshipping while I drive. I’m a lifelong learner, tackling new skills with gusto—recently, I’ve been whipping up biblically inspired tallow soap with scents that’d make King David jealous! With a passion for missions, I’ve got a heart to serve far and wide. I like to bring the fun—cracking jokes that light up any room—yet I know when to dial it back for the deep stuff. Forget fancy gifts—I’m all about epic experiences, exploring new places, and making memories. Whether I’m cracking jokes, crafting soap, or diving into a new adventure, I live every day with faith, fun, and a whole lot of heart.

Melody ADMINISTRATIVE Assistant About MeI started working at AmeriRent in March of 2024 and I’ve loved being a part of this team! When I’m not here I’m either spending time with my husband, two dogs, hedgehog and 11 fish (yes, I like animals!), or working at the church where I lead worship. I didn’t know anything about heavy equipment when I started working here, but I’ve had a great time learning our rental fleet and how to help our customers. Maybe one of these days Ben will let me drive a skid steer or excavator around (cough cough, please Ben!)! |
Jenn Shaffer financial officer About MeEmployed with Amerirent Equipment since 2022, I am working tirelessly for the financial statements to be accurate and available at any given moment. On my days off, I labor on the Shaffer Homestead by educating my daughter, cooking, gardening, and tending to the animals. My extracurriculars include camping, hiking, and doing "homestead" stuff with my husband and three girls. We gather eggs daily, have made maple syrup, apple cider, a variety of wines, jellies & jams, and also kefir, cheese, ice cream and soap with the goat's milk from our Nubian goats. It is a blessing from the Lord and a joy to be employed here.

Founded in 2017 by Ben Hanson in Marion, IN, AmeriRent Equipment began with a simple goal: to fill the gap in local equipment rental options and provide businesses and individuals with reliable machinery. From day one, our mission has been to be the trusted source for the rental and sale of general, industrial, and heavy equipment—built on a foundation of trust, loyalty, honesty, and a commitment to our customers.
As our reputation grew, so did our business. In 2020, we expanded into commercial and industrial hot power washer sales, marking our first major step into equipment sales. This move paved the way for even greater growth, and in 2022, we introduced polycarbonate skid steer doors, a game-changing product that transformed our company and set the foundation for our nationwide and international sales operations.
